Historically there have been three lines of Bosch mixers available: the Concept (followed by the Styline), the Compact, and Universal kitchen machines. The Bosch Universal and the Bosch Compact Lines are the only two lines now available for both kitchen machines and accessories.  The Styline and Concept machines have been discontinued and no longer available, with parts and accessories still available in a limited manner.  

The Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machines or Bosch mixers feature powerful motors and versatile accessories. The Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine offers four speeds to work with, along with momentary pulse function, to give you an impressive degree of control. These Bosch kitchen machines mix, blend, chop, grind, shred, slice and more. The Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine is the latest and greatest of the several variations of Bosch mixers.

The Bosch Compact kitchen machine has been introduced and withdrawn from the market several times, but was introduced again in September of 2010 and has lasted since.  The Bosch Compact Mixers are designed for the budget conscious customer with a smaller family size.  A full line of versatile Bosch Compact Accessories which include a slicer/shredder, food processor, blender, ice cream maker, cereal mill, citrus juicer, and food/meat grinder, including a grating attachment, pastry press, and berry press are also available.

The versatile Bosch Concept Mixers were discontinued in 2007 and later replaced by the Bosch Styline Mixer, as the mid-grade machine between the compact and universal series machines.  The Bosch Styline was discontinued at the end of 2016.  Compact accessories often fit the Concept or Styline machines.  Most parts and repair continue to be available for all Bosch Concept or Styline Mixer customers.
