This gasket prevents liquid contents from leaking through the drive shaft of the bowl fitting above the drive pin in the bowl base. This one is for the outside of the bowl. A larger gasket also fits under the bushing inside the base of the bowl. Gaskets are sold individually. Consider ordering a spare.
These are for the stainless steel bowl with the dough hook mounting in the bottom of the bowl. These bowls do not have a plastic center post with gears on top.
